Wilma Jeane Smith, 88, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at her home.

She was born Sept. 2, 1924, the daughter of William and Icy (Parks) Baxla.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Kay) Smith and Kellis (Joyce) Smith; two daughters, Sandra Mitchell and Marsha Smith; three sisters, Rita (Charles) Shonkwiler, Phyllis (Charles) Willis and Erma Butler; two brothers, Loren (Donna) Baxla and S. Lamar Baxla; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgar Smith on March 8, 1970; three sisters, Viva Nell Black, Waneta Wallace and Martha Lindsey; one brother-in-law, Truman Butler.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at the East Monroe United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
