Willimae Davidson, 83, of Lynchburg died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

She was born Nov. 18, 1928 in Webertown, the daughter of the late Albert William and Della Marie Burton Brown.

Mrs. Davidson had worked as the ticket lady at the Roselawn Drive-In Theater in Allensburg for several years, later working at the RobertShaw Company in Hillsboro and for Spaeth’s Lynchburg IGA Supermarket until her retirement.

She was a 1946 graduate of Lynchburg High School, had been a Girl Scout leader, was a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens and the Silver Spur Line Dancers. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by four children, DeeDee (Delbert) Harless of Hillsboro, Robert (Cindy) Davidson of Lynchburg, Richard (Mindy) Davidson of Wilmington, and Donley (Darlene) Davidson of Highland; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Davidson, on Oct. 7, 1992. They had been married on Aug. 12, 1955. She also was preceded in death by five sisters, Viola Shaffer, Opal Malott, Frances Kestler, Pearl Campbell and Bernice Miller.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from noon-2 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
