William Keith Murray, 50, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at home.
He was born March 27, 1962 in Dayton, Ky., the son of William Trainer and Hattie (Woodyard) Murray.
He was an avid fisherman, mushroom hunter and motorcycle rider and loved doing anything outdoors with his children. He was most recently employed at Huhtamaki Plastics, Inc. in New Vienna where he was in the Maintenance Department. Prior to this, he was employed at Greenfield Research and Yusa Corp, also in the maintenance department. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his companion, Stephanie Fulkerson of Leesburg; one daughter, Shaytlyn Murray of Leesburg; one son, Prestin Murray; mother, Hattie Compher of Greenfield; one stepson, Kyle Gozy of Chillicothe, Ohio; four brothers, Michael (Sandy) Murray of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., Greg Murray of Manchester, David Murray of Greenfield and Sherrod (April) Compher of Greenfield; three sisters, Deborah Gibson of Lynchburg, Michele (Roger) Eggleton of South Salem and Erin Compher of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Deidre Compher; father, William Trainer; and stepfather, Charles Compher.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, cremation will take place, and there will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Tony Tompkins officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday with Veterans Appreciation Service to begin at 6 p.m.
