William E. Burdette
William E. Burdette, 91, of Hillsboro died Friday, April 20, 2012 at his home.
He was born June 16, 1920 in Mount Vernon, Ky., the son of the late William and Verda Miracle Burdette.
Mr. Burdette had retired from the traffic engineering department in the county and city of Denver.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the DAV, the Raymond R. Stout American Legion Post 129, the Robinson Lodge 266 F&AM in Louisville, Ky., the Kosair Shriner’s in Louisville, Ky., the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and a life member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Magee Burdette, whom he married on May 1, 1948; one daughter, Charlotte (Ken) Esselstein of Xenia; and two grandsons, Nathan Esselstein of Dayton and Adam Esselstein of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Graveside services will be noon Monday, April 23 at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Ky. There will be no visitation.
