Wayne Hunter, 55, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2012 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center in Seaman.

He was born Feb. 28, 1957 in Cincinnati, the son of Burchel and Nancy (Doyle) Hunter.

He had been a truck driver for many years.

On July 19, 1996, in Milford, he married his wife of 16 years, Brenda Ann (Cain) Hunter, and she survives.

He is also survived by his father, Burchel Hunter, of Pleasant Plain; three sons, Eddie Lee (Mandy) Wendel of Williamsburg, Steve Wendel of Lynchburg and Mitch Wendel of Batavia; five grandchildren, Audrey, Robert, Angelina, Victoria and Joey Wendel; and a sister, Deborah Hunter of Pleasant Plain.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Hunter.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow in the Buford Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2012 at the funeral home in Lynchburg.
