Wauleta "Tillie" Phillips, 91, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Carriage Court of Hilliard.
She was born in Lawrence County, Ky. on Aug. 15, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Carter) Ferrell.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur V. Phillips, on Oct. 6, 1977; one son, David Phillips; two sisters, Wilma Huffman and Blanche Capelle; and one brother, Earl Ferrell.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Connie & Bill Penquite of Galloway, Cheryl & Jim Burchinal of Hilliard, Cinda Carter of Batavia and Carla & Rod Dougherty of Des Moines, Iowa; one son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Sandra Ferrell of McCordsville, Ind.; one daughter-in-law, Liesa Phillips of Kansas City, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. till time of service at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
