Walter Lee 'Pap' 'Wally' Hixson
Walter Lee "Pap" "Wally" Hixson, 59, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, Aug. 10, 2014 at home.
He was born July 21, 1955 in Columbus, the son of the late Birdie Hixson and Betty Brown Hixson of South Shore, Ky.
He enjoyed wrestling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Ernie Jones of Hillsboro, Bessie Jones of Washington Court House and Mary Jones of Hillsboro; two brothers, David Hixson of South Shore, Ky. and Jack Hixson of South Shore, Ky.; half-sister, Janie Bowling of South Shore, Ky.; 11 step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Kathy Snell.
In addition to his father, Walter was preceded in death by wife, Ella Mae Young Hixson; two stepsons, Howard E. Jones Jr. and Ronald Jones; and step-granddaughter, Amanda Star Jones.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery, Hillsboro.
Friends will be received from noon until the time of the services at the funeral home on Wednesday.
