Virginia Dotson, 81, of Hillsboro died Thursday , March 25, 2010 at her residence. 
She was born June 15, 1928 in Grundy, Virginia the daughter of the late Johnny and Sarah Mullins Hall. Mrs. Dotson had retired from the Highland District Hospital with 17 years of service. 
She is survived by her husband, David Rhoads whom she married on April 14, 1980; three great-grandchildren, Rachel (Corey) Joslin of Hillsboro, Rebekah Brown of Hillsboro, and Joseph Brown of Hillsboro; three great-great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Binegar of Hillsboro, Airyanna  and Lauralie Joslin; and six brothers, Dewey, Kelley, Leon, Charles, Robert Hall and Jack Ling. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Brown; one grandson, Kenny Brown; sisters, Jacky Hall, Birchie Hall, Neva Chamberlin, Dorothy Roland, and Blanche Ward; and a brother, Bennie Hall. 
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church. The Rev. David Hansen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. 
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church. 
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
