Viola Margaret (Scholl) Lange, 79, of Winchester, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Adams County Manor.

She was born in Fordham, New York on September 7, 1933 the daughter of the late Fredrick and Mary V. (Jackson) Scholl.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lange and two brothers; Robert and Richard Scholl.

Viola attended Samantha Freewill Baptist Church and sang in the choir for the Billy Graham Crusade at Madison Square Garden in 1969.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas and Liz Lange, of Seymour, Tenn., Gerald and Mary Lange, Jr. of Evans, Colo., and Bill Lange, of Winchester; four daughters and sons-in-law: Kathleen and Tom Palazzolo, of Clarkston, Utah, Dorothy and Ray Remo, of San Antonio, Texas, Peggy and Jim Joram, of Poughquag, N.Y., and Alice and John Miller, of Sardinia; three brothers: Fredrick, Gerald, and Leonard Scholl all of Yonkers, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester. Services will immediately follow at noon with the Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
