Thomas Roger Simbro, 62, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.

He was born March 15, 1949 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Roger and Vera Faye (Kier) Simbro.

He was a 1967 graduate of Whiteoak High School, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a lifelong farmer. He drove school bus for Bright Local School District for several years and was a member of the Archaeological Society of Ohio, Fort Salem Chapter.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Barbara Simbro of Washington C.H.; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Danny Shipley of Winchester; one grandson, Darren Shipley.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Burial will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
