Thomas “Elvis” Howland, 70, of Greenfield, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Country Glenn Nursing & Therapy Center in Washington C.H., Ohio following a two-year battle with cancer.

He was born July 18, 1941, in Highland County, Ohio, the son of Dwight Howland and Eleanor Louise (Tubbs) Howland.

He was a retiree from KFC after 20 plus years of service and also a former employee of Collins Meat Packaging. He impersonated Elvis on many occasions over the last 20 years. He also worked with Ronald Smith deejaying. Mr. Howland was a 1959 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School to which he remained very close to his classmates, especially Leon Trefz and Floyd Head, who helped him through this very difficult time.

He is survived by his only daughter, Donna Kay (Howland) Howard of Greenfield; two grandsons, Chalmer R. Howard II and Craig Michael Howard both of Greenfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, May 3 beginning at 4 p.m. at Trinity Christian Union Hall, located behind the church at 1200 North Washington Street, Greenfield, Ohio with Pastor Wayne Combs officiating, followed by a carry-in dinner.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
