Thomas Edward Tackett, 58, of Waverly, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born June 4, 1951 in Michigan, the son of the late Thomas and Edna Mae (Morris) Tackett.
He worked construction.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Biggs) Tackett; two sons, Richard (Kandace) Tackett of Jackson, Mich. and Thomas Tackett of Jackson, Ohio; a daughter, Amy (Andy) Tatum of Brandford, Fla.; three step-daughters, special step-daughter Nancy Horne of Lucasville, Gladys (John) Neely of Lucasville, and Crystal Blanton of Piketon; three brothers, Russell (Diane) Tackett of Beaver, Samuel (Norma) Tackett of Hillsboro, and David (Carol) Tackett of Bloomingburg; three sisters, Bertha (Vernon) Perkins of Wheelersburg, Katie (Sam) Kuhn of Bainbridge, and Doris (Tim) Crabtree of Waverly; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, including four very special nieces and nephews, Sylas, Taysia, William, and Wesley.
In addition to both parents, he was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Little Mary; and two sisters, Mary and Gladys.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at Schaffer Road Christian Church of Waverly with Rev. Robert Haddox officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver Cemetery in Waverly. A visitation will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Schaffer Road Christian Church.
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.
