Terry Lee Tener, 60, of Hillsboro, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011 at Highland District Hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1950 in Highland, the son of the late Kenneth and Martha (Ursell) Tener.
Terry was a compassionate person who always found good in all things and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Debra Tolle, also of Hillsboro; his brother, Michael Tener and his wife Theresa of Mason; two nephews, Michael Scott (Kolleen) Tener and family of Mason and Kenneth Christopher (Jennifer) Tener and family of Gainesville, Fla.; an aunt, Janet (Paul) Pence of Hillsboro; two cousins, Tim (Debbie) Pence and family of Virginia Beach, Va. and Steve (Gail) Pence and family of Hillsboro; as well as extended family Gary and Arlene Tolle of New Vienna, Cynthia Tolle of New Vienna, Lisa (Tom) Archibald of Hillsboro, Joshua Daye of Phoenix, Ariz., Jaime (Scott) Barrett and family of Oregonia and Emily and Rachael Archibald of Hillsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Sarah "Sally" Tener of Hillsboro.
Graveside funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at the Hamer Township Cemetery. Pastor Kraig Walker will officiate. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
