Terry E. Bailey, 55, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Highland District Hospital.

He was born in Hillsboro on Oct. 27, 1956, the son of the late John and Kathleen (Taylor) Bailey, Jr.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Bailey.

He had served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Connie (Pollard) Bailey, whom he married on June 22, 1991; two sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Kyla Bailey of Peebles, and Shane Bailey and fiancee Courtney Gray of Hillsboro; five daughters and son-in-law, Diane Bailey of Beaumont, Texas, Tammy and John Reed of Danville, Amy Kirby of Hillsboro, Brandy Bailey of Wilmington, and Rachel Bailey of Hillsboro; two brothers, Gary Bailey of Texas and David Bailey of Hillsboro; two sisters, Patty Smith of Freeport, Texas, and Kathy Taylor; his father-in-law, Herb Pollard of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 9 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Randel Goble officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Friends may call on Monday from noon-2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
