Synthia Howard, 76, of Leesburg, died Monday, Nov. 7 at her home.
She was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Carl and Ada (Smith) Brickey.
On June 20, 1958, in Portsmouth, she married her husband of 53 years, William A. Howard, and he survives.
She is also survived by four children, Adamarie Beatty of Leesburg, John Howard and Gary Howard, both of Washington Court House, and Bill Howard and his wife, Tasha, of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Kirkendal of New Boston.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family, with burial following at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg. There will be no public visitation.
