Shelva G. Barr, age 70, of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
She was born December 6, 1940 in Georgetown, Ohio, daughter of the late Eugene and Elva "Sally" Prine Bingamon.
She was a Former member of the Mowrystown Life Squad and was devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Barr of Mowrystown, OH, whom she married November 13, 1960, son, Randall L. (Melonie J.) Barr, of Hillsboro, daughter, Bonnie (Lynn) Gray of Sardinia, son, Barry Barr, of Hillsboro, 9 grandchildren, Corey Barr, Meghan Barr, Brian Nave, Ben Gray, Jacob Gray, Jessie Williams, Brandon Barr, Seth Barr, and Jevon Barr. Also surviving are 2 great grandchildren, Ryan Nave and Jayla Gray, 2 brothers, Donald (Mary) Bingamon, of Mowrystown, Michael (Roberta) Bingamon, of Hillsboro, and one sister, Dorothy (Roger) Whiting, of Hillsboro. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Cheryl Jennings.
In addition to her parents, Shelva was preceded in death by two nieces, Vickie and Pam Whiting.
Services will be held at the Edgington Funeral Home, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1:00 pm. with Pastor Jason Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, Ohio Saturday, October 22, 2011 11:00 am - 1:00 p.m. .
