Sharon Steele, 61 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at Hospice of Hope, Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.

She was born Oct. 20, 1951 in Somerset, Ky., the daughter of the late Jack and Opal (Owens) Kemper.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Hazel Kemper; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Bryant.

She was a member of the New Market Community Church where she served as a trustee, treasurer and Sunday school teacher. She was an employee of Lakewood Resorts in Hillsboro.

On May 7, 1988 she was united in marriage to David Paul Steele who survives. Sharon is survived by one son, Brent (Sara) Hylton of Sunman, Ind.; three daughters, Tonya (Scott) Zipperian of Centerville, Lisa (Herman) Dingey of Hillsboro and Chrissy Northcutt of Dayton; nine grandchildren, Jared Dingey, Kendra Knight, Taylor Dingey, Jake Zipperian, Joey Zipperian, Andrew Dingey, Jocelyn Hylton, Kayla Northcutt and Grayson Hylton; one great- granddaughter, Abigail Welch; three brothers, Wayne (Dianne) Kemper of Springboro, Wendell (Cindy) Kemper of Springboro and Jack (Kathy) Kemper of Dayton; two sisters, twin sister Karen Kemper of Hillsboro and Joyce Bryant of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Karen Kemper will officiate with burial to follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
