Scott Kenneth “Scotty” Lowe, 40, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 as a result of an auto accident in Clinton County, Ohio.
He was born June 9, 1972 in Georgetown, the son of Cheryl Jean Alexander Lowe of Mt. Orab and the late Jerry L. Lowe.
He, along with his wife Nikki, owned and operated Tux and Tan, P & L Auto Sales, Fix-It Home Repair and Lowe’s Construction. He had served as a Ranger in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Highland Lodge #38 F.&A.M.
In addition to his mother, he is survived his wife, Nikki Butcher Lowe, whom he had married on Nov. 30, 1996 in Hillsboro; two sons, Connor and Hunter Lowe of Hillsboro; one daughter, Sydney Glasscock of Greenfield; paternal grandfather, Ralph Lowe, Jr. of Hillsboro; two sisters, Krista (Spencer) Reed of Hillsboro and Jerri Linn (Brian Peters) Lowe of Milford; stepmother, Rheta Lowe of Hillsboro; stepbrothers, Bryan Stivers of Hillsboro and Brad (Dori Ann Allen) Stivers of New Vienna; nieces and nephews, Neal, Alley, Katelyn, Blake, Lindsey, Cory, Chelsea and Noah; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his mother-in-law, Ellen Butcher of Hillsboro.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, June Lowe; and maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Kenneth Alexander.
Masonic services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday followed immediately by traditional services at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Jim Wolfe will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
