Ruth Etta Lewis

Ruth Etta Lewis, 90, of Bainbridge, passed away on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born July 19, 1924 in Puxico, Mo., the daughter of Douglas and Frona (Sifford) Barnfield.
She was a Greenfield Area Christian Center volunteer, a Greenfield Area Life Squad volunteer and was a homemaker and a member of the Fruitdale United Methodist Church. Ruth lived her life as a wonderful example of the Proverbs 31 woman: She was a faithful wife, mother and Christian. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by two sons, Steven (Christine) Lewis and Mark Lewis, both of Bainbridge; four daughters, Susan (Charles) Lynch of Memphis, Tenn., Janet (Clark) Faulkner of Passaic, N.J., Jennifer King of Chillicothe and Beth (David) Mitten of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Matthew (Blair) Lynch, Jennifer (Matt) Yawn, Dustin (Erin) Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Andrea Faulkner, Bruce Faulkner, Jaci (Scott) Raike, Alex Long, Jeffrey Mitten and Jared Mitten; great-grandchildren, Miles and Parker Yawn and Cade Raike; two brothers, Benton and Floyd Barnfield; two sisters, Helen Kitchen and Martha Weller; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Lewis in 1994; two grandsons, Cody King and Josh Lewis; two brothers, Earl and Ferl Barnfield; two sisters, Anna Mae Esary and Marie St. Clair; and both parents.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 29 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Dr. Philip Malone. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
