Rosabelle "Rosie" Blake, 84, of Greenfield, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 18, 1926 in Highland County, the daughter of Alonzo and Hazel (Penwell) Eubanks.
She was the owner and operator of Blake's Coffee Shop in Greenfield with her husband, whom she married April 11, 1945, for 50-plus years. She formerly attended United Brethren Church of Greenfield and was a 1944 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School.
She is survived by two sons, Harold D. Blake, Jr. of Greenfield and Marion Blake of Washington C.H.; one daughter, Jeanie (Joe) Anderson of Greenfield; grandchildren Shawn Walker of Greenfield, Amanda (Christopher) Rhonemus of Warner Robins, Ga., Erin (Ryan) Olaker of Greenfield, Melissa (Jeff) Robinett of Greenfield, Lacey (Zach) Cottrill of Bainbridge, Heidi (Coy) Tite of Greenfield and Holly (Shawn) Ertel of Greenfield; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alonzo "Grassy" (Twilla) Eubanks, Jr. of Urbana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. "Mousy" Blake on Dec. 20, 2001; three great-grandchildren, Lyndey Olaker and twins in infancy, Cloie Dell Cottrill and Kadee Lynn Cottrill; three brothers, Charles, Raymond and Everette Eubanks; one sister, Dorothy Roads; and both parents.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Danny Dodds and Rev. Marland Penwell officiating with burial to follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
