Roger L. Frost, 76, of Winchester, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Clermont Mercy Hospital.

He was born April 5, 1936 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Orland and Goldie McCreadie Frost.

He loved his family, and was known by all for his “story” telling. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War.

Roger, along with his sons, started, owned, and operated Frost Refinishing. He retired from the business five years ago, his sons have continued the business which now operates as Creekside Custom Woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Wright Frost, to whom he was married March 22, 1965 in Brown County; children, Vicki (Tim) Ballein of Sardinia, Brian (Daria) Frost of Winchester, and Daren Frost of Winchester; grandchildren, Sara (Craig) Crawford of Seaman, Jonathan (Becca) Fannin of Winchester, Jared Fannin of Winchester, and Jacob Roger Frost of Winchester; great-grandchildren, Boston Crawford, Hudson Crawford, Nollan Fannin, and Saddie Fannin on-the-way; and sisters, Joan DeHaas of Hillsboro, and Sandra (James) King of New Vienna.

Services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. The Highland County Honor Guard will accord military honors following services at the funeral home. Committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
