Roger D. Kelly, 54, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born in Wellston, Ohio, on June 7, 1955, the son of the late Paul David and Mildred (Claar) Kelly.
Roger was a Retired Master Sqt. with the US Army serving for 22 Years.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Bill, Dick, David, Larry, Doris, Sonja Ann, Frances Kelly and Marlene Landrum; and extended family Brett Bartley.
He is survived by his wife Renee (Clark) Kelly, who he married on July 25, 1992; one son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Cheryl Kelly of Bowling Green, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shanda and Rusty Thomas of Brandenburg, Ky. and April and Tom Rolfe of Bainbridge; six grandchildren, Miranda Kelly, Max Kelly, Trenton Thomas, Trace Thomas, Salena Brown and Chase Rolfe; one sister, Connie Justice of Camdon, Tenn.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bob Ervin of Wellston, Ohio; and extended family, Lara Lee and Keith Durham of Wellston, Ohio, and Louetta and John Patrick of Jackson, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Dave Green officiating. Full military honors will follow the services at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
