Robert Platt, 75, of Winchester, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Adams County Manor.

He was born in Cincinnati, on Oct. 6, 1936, the son of the late Jesse and Gertrude Platt.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and eight sisters.

He attended Peebles Church of God and his lifetime hobby was arts and crafts.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Crystal Platt of Winchester; son, Jeff Platt of Amelia; two daughters, Vicki Broerman of Hillsboro and Kelly Schaefer of Amelia; one brother, Charles Platt of Newtown; one sister, Judy Gabbard of Berea, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Pastor Harold Keaton officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Milford.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
