Robert Mitchell “Bob” Roades, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at home on the farm where he was born, surrounded by his loved ones.  
He was born May 14, 1928 to the late Ottis and Estella (Kibler) Roades.  
Bob was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Buford. He was a 1946 graduate of Buford High School.
He is survived by his wife, Jeane, whom he wed Feb. 26, 1949; his son, Charles Roades of Mount Orab; his daughters, Pat (Marvin) Malott, of
Buford and Pam McCarty of Mount Orab; four grandchildren, Matthew (Valerie) Malott, Kara (Keith) Setty, Mitchell (Sara) McCarty, and Michael (Amber)
McCarty; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald (Berneda) Roades of Mount Orab.  
He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Michael and Bobby Gene; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Lucille Roades Sydnor. 
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, he was cremated. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 10 at the Clay Township Park (the old Buford School) in Buford. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. A wake will immediately follow the Celebration of Life. 
Donations may be made to the Buford Alumni Association or the Clay Township Park Commission.
