Richard Allen Cheshire, Jr., 50, of Oklahoma City, Okla., formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at his home in Oklahoma.
He was born June 16, 1961 in Dayton, the son of Richard Allen and Geraldine Combs Cheshire, Sr.
He was working as a foreman with All About Paving in Oklahoma and had worked for several years with Cox Paving in Leesburg and Dave Williams Paving in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Marie Parmelee Cheshire; mother and step-father, Geraldine and Burt Ferrell of Hillsboro; father and step-mother Richard and Joyce Cheshire, Sr. of Vandalia; daughters, Amanda (Don Gasche) Cheshire and Pamela (Shawn) Castle, both of Oklahoma; grandson Caden Allen Cheshire; four sisters, Debbie (Philip) Clark of Dayton, Diane Ginter of Hillsboro, Nancy Parker of Dayton and Regina (Earl) White of Florida; his best friend, Ronald Andrews of New Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are directed to the family.
