Rhoda E. Robinett, 86, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born Nov. 12, 1925 in Greenup County, Ky., the daughter of Mitchell Evans and Daisey (Childers) Evans.
She was retired after serving 22 years as a nurse and caregiver. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of New Martinsburg, former Sunday school teacher and vacation bible school teacher, treasurer of the UMW, sang with the Sweet Adalines, a member of the Brush & Pallette Art Guild of Leesburg and was a Rosie Riveter at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during WWII.
She is survived by four sons, Eugene Robinett, Jerry (Joanna) Robinett, Bobby (Anna) Robinett and Martin Robinett, all of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Robinett of Greenfield, Jason (Kelly) Robinett of Leesburg, Heather Robinett of Greenfield, Sunni Jane (Jerrod Quigley) Robinett of Greenfield and Angel (Terry) Voorhies of Cambridge; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, John (Alice) Evans of Flatwoods, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Edward Robinett, who passed away Dec. 31, 1985; one sister, Marjorie Chadwell; six half brothers and sisters; and both parents.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Marland Penwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Creek Cemetery of Greenfield.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
