Raymond T. Wiseman, 92, of Columbus, formerly of Frankfort, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

He was born Jan. 14, 1920 in South Webster, the son of Orris T. and Elizabeth (Hughey) Wiseman.

He retired after serving 26 years in the U.S. Air Force in which time he served during World War II and the Korean War. He then went to work at Hoover Plastics in Greenfield, from which he also retired.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Wiseman of Dayton; one son, Kent Wiseman of Columbus; one grandson, Joshua (Angie) Wiseman of Chillicothe; one great-granddaughter, Haley Wiseman of Jamestown; one sister, Wanda Lee Wood of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Daniel Wiseman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Delores Wiseman on Feb. 29, 2008; five brothers, Glendon, David, Bobby, Galen, and James; and three sisters, Ruby Bisher, Ardith Rohrer, and Marilyn Veach.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Randy Abbott officiating and burial to follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
