Raymond E. Hooley, 74, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.

He was born at West Liberty, Ohio on April 29, 1936 the son of the late Durward R. and Lucy Lucille(Weaver) Hooley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Hooley; and two sisters, Carol Holbrook and Katherine Davis.

He served in the National Guard for six years from 1960 to 1966.

Raymond was a lifelong farmer, truck driver and had worked for Ohio Valley Truss until his retirement.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Jill Hooley of Columbus, and Doug and Kit Hooley of Fayetteville; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Joe Norris of Hillsboro; two brothers, Kenneth Weaver of Hillsboro, and Richard "Butch" Hooley of Hillsboro; two sisters, Rowena Crouse of Hillsboro, and Roberta Hooley of Hillsboro; one sister-in-law, Margaret Hooley of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
