Raymond C. Snider, 86, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at his home.
He was born June 28, 1926, in Mount Orab, the son of the late Clifford and Helen (Blair) Snider.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Hillsboro VFW Post 9094, Rocky Fork AmVets Post 61 and the Bainbridge American Legion Post 14.
He is survived by four nephews, Larry (Judy) Williams of Fayetteville, David (Donna) Snider of Blanchester, Robert Williams of Fayetteville and Rick Snider of Ripley; three nieces, Kayette (Joe) Aubrey of Fayetteville, Donna (Doug) Richard and Diane (Jeff) Helmer, both of Edenton; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Albertine Williams; and a brother, Donald Snider.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
