Randy Joseph Taylor, 51, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Greenfield on March 22, 1961, the son of the late Andy Taylor and Mildred (Kenney) Bloomfield of Hillsboro.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann (Caulley) Taylor; and one sister, Tamara Brunner.

He was an Army veteran and a welder by trade.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his fiancee, Nan Adkins of Hillsboro; daughter, Sarah Jessica Taylor at home; stepdaughter, Natalie Adkins of Lynchburg; two stepsons, Matt Peters of Lynchburg and John Peters of Greenfield; two brothers, Andy Taylor of Hillsboro and Samuel Bloomfield of Hillsboro; two sisters, V. Joanne (Ray) Heyob of Hillsboro and Katerine (Jessie) Green of Sabina; a brother-in-law, Harry "Butch" Brunner III of Winchester; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Judi Wiley Officiating. Burial will follow in the Fincastle Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
