Ralph C. “Cecil” Osborn, 77 of Lynchburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 27, 2024 at his home.  

He was born Sept. 24, 1947 in Lynchburg, the son of the late Ralph K. and Audrey E. (Hamilton) Osborn.  

He was a longtime member and past master of the Lynchburg Lodge 178 F. and A.M. and retired from Cincinnati Milacron in Wilmington after over 35 years of service. He loved camping at the Ohio River and spending time with his beloved wife and family.  

Cecil is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly (Spence) Osborn, whom he married on Feb. 7, 1965.  He is also survived by five children, Barbara (Tony Adams) Woods, Pamela (Roger) Mahan and Ralph Charles (Angie) Osborn, all of Lynchburg, Douglas Wayne (Amber Edmisten) Osborn of Taylorsville and Tony Lee Osborn of Hillsboro; 15 grandchildren, Rebecca, Tashua, Sean, Christina, Johnathan, April, Samantha, Olivia, Alex, Desirae, Katlyn, Chasity, Cassady, Chanse and Caley; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Geraldine (Donny) Pierson of Lynchburg, Mary Ann (Les) Countryman of SanTan Valley, Ariz., Elaine Cluff of Lynchburg and Barbara Hawk of North Carolina; as well as many nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Michael Osborn; and two great-great-grandchildren, Destiny Leigh and Bentley Kade Osborn.  

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg, when a Masonic service will begin, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery.

me and cecil had a lot of great times at the pricetown school for 8 years we played a lot of rough neck country sports then off to lynchburg were we settled down to be better for our cariers will miss you cecil
