Paulette Martin, 58, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Highland District Hospital.

She was born in Mariemont on April 14, 1954, the daughter of the late Paul A. and Mary F. (Evans) Davidson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Martin, on Oct. 17, 2003.

She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, where she was a pianist, played in the Bell Choir and sang in the Chancel Choir.

She had worked at Carter Lumber Company for several years and at Weastec.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Martin, whom she married on Oct. 21, 1976; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Sheri Martin of Fort Bragg, N.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Clint Wharton of Hillsboro; one sister, Vicki Harris of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Ashley Jenkins, Paul Jenkins and Tia Martin; nieces; and a host of friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church with Dr. Derek Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
