Paul Rigsby, 69, of Leesburg, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. 

He was born July 29, 1942 in Zag, Ky., the son of the late Arthur and Ivory Weaver Rigsby. 

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. 

He was a very giving person and loved helping people. He has touched many by giving chocolate candies; he always carried chocolates and gave them to people, especially children, to help brighten their day. He was a hard-working man who loved his farm and the farming life. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda Carol Hale Rigsby, to whom he was married Sept. 17, 1966 in Xenia; his son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Jami Rigsby of Leesburg; two grandchildren, Joey and Amy Rigsby; two sisters, Wilma (Don) Miller and Gail Rigsby, all of Cedarville; mother-in-law Beulah Hale of Leesburg; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl McKee and Joyce Reed; four brothers, Willard, Allie, Dale, and Calvin Rigsby; and three infant brothers, Wilbur, Carl and Ira. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27 at the Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg. The Rev. Wiley Perkins of the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Burial with Military Honors accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg on Tuesday, June 26.
