Patricia McCarty Herron, 61, of Monroe, formerly of Hillsboro, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
She was born Feb. 28, 1950 in Paris, Ky., the daughter of Bruce Donald and Clara Edith Berry Gaunce.
She had been a member of the Hillsboro Emblem Club, worked at the South Central Power Company and was an avid University of Kentucky fan.
She is survived by her husband, James Herron; parents, Bruce and Clara Edith Gaunce of Carlisle, Ky.; son Jason (Beth) McCarty of Wilmington; sister Marilyn (Ron) Feeback of Versailles, Ky.; brother Gary Gaunce of Cynthiana, Ky.; one niece and one nephew; and two step-daughters, Cindy (Steve) Weber of West Carrollton and Sheri (Keith) Blankenship of Middletown.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Wendell McCarty.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Chaplain John Love will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
