Nina Lee Grabill, 95, of New Holland, Penn. since Jan. 2004, formerly of Greenfield, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at Garden Spot Village in New Holland.
She was born Sept. 3, 1914 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Charles Malcom and Grace (Mercer) Malcom Hudson.
Mrs. Grabill attended school in Miami, Fla. and Seymour, Ind., graduating from Hillsboro High School. She studied portrait painting at Eastman Kodak Studio in Cincinnati. She was employed with her father in his photography business for many years and also was a clerk at the Morris Dollar Store in Hillsboro. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenfield, where she was secretary of the Judson Class for 43 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Highland County since 1975 and a volunteer for their van service for nine years.
She is survived by one son, Ralph (Diana) Grabill, of New Holland; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Meredith Byars) Grabill of New York, N.Y. and Leslie (Cliff) Wallace of Dover, Del.; and one great-grandson, Oscar Grabill of New York, N.Y.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Brehm Grabill, who died in 1978.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Tim Mohon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
