Nelson Glenn McClure, Jr., 77, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

He was born in Highland County on June 19, 1935, the son of the late Nelson Glenn and Ruth (Forsythe) McClure, Sr.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma McClure.

He had retired from Candle-lite after 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Edith I. (Arledge) McClure, whom he married on Sept. 13, 1968; one son, Tracy Glenn McClure of Hillsboro; one daughter and son–in-law, Teresa and Jamie Parrish of Bainbridge; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Deloris Arledge of Hillsboro, Wayne and Pauline Arledge of Hillsboro, and Kevin and Clara Arledge of Hillsboro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Alonzo Truman of Hillsboro, and Jean and Paul Truman of Hillsboro; one granddaughter, Lisa Parrish; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
