Nancy P. Riggs
Nancy P. Riggs, 73, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born Dec. 28, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Floyd and Hilda Wilson Plowman.
She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and traveling. Nancy was a member and secretary for the New Market Community Church.
She is survived by her beloved William Gorth; children, Valerie S. Riggs-Waggoner of Logan, Julie A. (Tracy Armstrong) Riggs-Hernandez of Hillsboro and Amy G. (Rick) Riggs-Besecker of Loveland; grandchildren, Jason Waggoner of Columbus, Kelly Waggoner of Logan, Katie Waggoner of Logan, Nina Hernandez of Fayetteville, Marco Hernandez of Hillsboro, Gabriella Hernandez of Hillsboro, Christian Besecker of Loveland and Madison Besecker of Loveland; great-grandchildren Lana Barker of Loveland and Maddox Yankee of Fayetteville; sister Leaugay (Kevin) Staub of Pittsburgh; and William's children Patsy (Mike) Russell of Cincinnati, Dorothy Haas of Cleves and Marcella Henderson of Covington, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Riggs in 2000; two sisters, Janie Henshaw and Joyce Davis; and two brothers, Dick and David Plowman.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the New Market Community Church. Karen Kemper and Ross Riggs will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 .m. at the church.
