Mollie L. Florkey, 94, of Hillsboro, went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at the Heartland of Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 9, 1918 in Middletown, the daughter of the late Frank and Oca Camden Blaine.
She was a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church, loved playing the piano and organ, enjoyed working in her yard and playing bingo. She was a "lover of life."
She is survived by four children, Jerry Elaine Malott Fogle of Moraine, Helen (Lowell) Olberg of Wheaton, Ill., James Dale (Sophia) Malott of Hillsboro and Carol Jane Walters Branson of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Hazel Blaine of Kettering.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Dale Malott in 1942, Albert Walters and Charles Florkey in 1981; sister, Helen Brown; brothers, Ray Blaine and James Blaine; one infant sibling; and great-granddaughter Dadny Olberg.
Funeral services will, be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Rev. Dr. Dan Lamb will officiate. Burial will follow in the North Cemetery in Monroe, Ohio. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
