Mitchell L. Franklin, 51, of Washington C.H., died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at Carlton Manor.
He was born Sept. 11, 1960 in Wilmington, the son of John E and Judith (Smith) Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Franklin on July 7, 1991; grandparents, Norman and Phyllis Smith, Ed and Hazel Franklin; and an uncle, Steve Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Judith Franklin of Hillsboro; sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Brad Elmore of Hillsboro; two nieces, Jordan and Ellie Elmore; one nephew, Brandon Elmore; and one uncle, Bruce (Linda) Smith of Hillsboro.
He was a member of the Hillsboro St. Mary's Episcopal Church, attended Hillsboro High School, was active with the FFA, loved his work and time spent at the Union Stock Yards and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden, 234 North High Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
