Mildred E. Bradford, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.  


She was born Feb. 10, 1924 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Glenn Ludwick and Margaret Houck Ludwick. 

She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ.
In the 1950s, Mrs. Bradford had worked as a telephone operator in Hillsboro before moving with her husband to Long Island, N.Y., where she worked in a deli, a child care center and at Sears. Upon their return to Hillsboro, Mrs. Bradford worked in the bakery at Kroger, S.O.S. and at the Colony Theater.

Survivors include her only son, Ken Bradford of Hillsboro; grandson, Rick L. and wife Joellen Bradford of Lynchburg; and a brother, Norman and wife Wilma Ludwick of Hillsboro. 

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Glenn Bradford who died in 1970. 



Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, with Pastor John Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. 

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Ohio on Thursday, March 1, 2012, 5-7 p.m. 

Contributions may be made to the Highland County Humane Society in her memory.
