Michael Ray DeLong, 58, of Winchester, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born Dec. 11, 1965 in Johnson County, Ky. On May 9, 2009, he was united into marriage to Niki (Jones) DeLong.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking and working on his tractor. He loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and father who will be missed dearly.

Surviving are his loving wife, Niki DeLong; two sons, Noah and Eli DeLong, both of Winchester; daughter, Hayley Parrett of Winchester; father, Raymond Oberschlake of Lynchburg; two sisters, Sandra Baisden of Delbarton, W.Va. and Sharon Turner of Van Lear, Ky.; mother-in-law, Lou Ann Jones (Mike Marsh) of Winchester; sister-in-law, Samantha Jones of West Mifflin, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Bonita Sue Oberschlake; son, Gabriel DeLong; two brothers, Jerry and Larry DeLong; paternal grandparents, William and Virginia DeLong; and maternal grandparents, James Carl and Edna Mae Keen.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. Edgington Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
