Maynard Eugene Shafer, 59, of New Vienna, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 20, 1953 in Greenfield, the son of the late Clement and Myrtle Harris Shafer.
Mr. Shafer had worked for the Buckeye Molding Company for several years.
He is survived by two sons, Tim Shafer of Hillsboro and Tom Shafer of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Timothy Shafer, Jake Harrison and Dakota Jackson; one sister, Barbara (Jim) Colthar of Hillsboro; one brother, David Shafer of Leesburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held noon Monday, June 4 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Derek Russell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro and on Monday from 10 a.m. until noon at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Turner & Son Funeral Home, P.O. Box 127, Hillsboro, Ohio to assist the family with expenses.
