Mary Martha Jones, 79, of Lynchburg died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Laurels of Blanchester.
She was born Feb. 14, 1933 in Oregonia, Ohio, the daughter of the late Chester A. and Elizabeth Johnson Gregg.
Mrs. Jones had worked as the secretary for the ABLE Program at the Southern State Community College. She was a member of the Lynchburg First Church of Christ and the Three Arts Club.
She is survived by four daughters, Jane Ellen (Tracy) Thomas of Mechanicsville, Va., Jennifer (Wayne) King of Lynchburg, Mary Beth (John) Minear III of Jamestown, Ohio and Rebecca (Mark) Resor of Martinsville, Ohio; one son, Jeff (Martha) Jones of Lynchburg; 15 grandchildren, Megan and Micah Thomas, Alisa Brown, Katie Haines, Lauren King, Evan, Haylee, Bryce, Kya, Monicia, Jenifa, Judlanda and Wilson Resor and Benjamin Isaac and Molly Jones; and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Jones on Feb. 20, 1996; and one grandson, Tanner Resor.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There is no visitation.
