Mary Louise Scarberry, 77, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
She was born May 30, 1934 in Ross County, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Music) Persinger.
She was a member of Greenfield Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She is survived by five sons, Larry Lee (Pamela) Scarberry of Pensacola, Fla., Rick Alan (Jeanne) Scarberry of Bonaire, Ga., Steven Wayne (Sonya) Scarberry of South Salem, Donald Edward (Tamara) Scarberry of Lyndon and David Scott (Roberta) Scarberry of Washington C.H.; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Zach) Sims of Greenfield, Wes Scarberry of Richmond, Ky., Joshua Scarberry of Perry, Ga., Courtney Scarberry of South Salem, Brianna (Donald) Morehead of Cincinnati, Danielle (John) Judkins of Greenfield, Taylor Scarberry of Greenfield and Jessica Scarberry of Washington C.H.; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Hoover of Jeffersonville and Patricia (Gary) Duncan of Zanesville; one brother, John (Karen) Persinger of Safety Harbor, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Harvey Palmer of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Jackson Scarberry, on Jan. 30, 1986; one sister, Virginia Kirsch; two nephews, Dennis and Jeff Kirsch; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Kirsch and James Hoover; parents, Alfred and Marie Persinger; and one daughter-in-law, Roberta (David) Scarberry.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
