Mary Louise Long, 90, of Hillsboro, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Highland District Hospital with her family by her side.  

She was born Feb. 11, 1921 in Willettsville, the daughter of the late Byron and Lizzie Mae Pence King.

She was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ and had been a cook at Washington Elementary School.  

She was a loving mother. She is survived by six children, Margaret (George) Stroemer of Hillsboro, Peggy House of Hillsboro, Clara (Charles) Hurt of Lynchburg, Sharon (Mike) Yochum of Hillsboro, David Long of Hillsboro, and Randy Long of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Long, in 1994; a sister, Thelma Davis; and two brothers, John Elton King and Don King.  

Services will be Monday, Feb. 13 at the Fairview Church of Christ, Hillsboro. Larry Herdman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Strange Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.  

The Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro is serving the family.
