Mary K. Bennett, 75, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born May 7, 1936 in Five Mile, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ora O. and Alice K. Petticord Fite.
She was a member of the Marshall Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, Robert M. Bennett, to whom she was married May 28, 1953 in Hillsboro; children James (Judy) Bennett of Muscatine, Ga., John Bennett of Hillsboro, Jack Bennett of Newport, Ky., Jerry Bennett of Newport, Ky., Jeannette (Casey) Jones of Franklin, Ga. and Robert Bennett of Washington C.H.; grandchildren Chris Jones, Samantha Jones, Bruce (Ashley) Bennett, Michelle (Chance) Stroud, Robbie (Mollie) Bennett and Ryan Bennett; great-grandchildren, McCaylee, Casey, Lillie, Millie, Cody, Riley, Joey and Marley; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Stanforth of Hillsboro and Shirley Wilt of Madeira; and sister-in-law Daisy Bennett of New York.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert Fite, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Tom Stoops and John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mowrystown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
