Mary Jane Howland, age 78, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Shiloh Springs Care Center in Trotwood.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1934 in Tipp City, the daughter of Raymond Henry Hilton and Mary Irene (Emswiler) O’Diam.

She was a member of the General Baptist Church of Dayton. She retired from H. Gersner & Sons of Dayton, after 28 years of service.

She is survived by one daughter, Marsha Howland of Dayton; three sons, William “Buck” Howland of Moraine City, Darrell “Chico” Howland of Dayton, and Kenneth Lee Howland of Dayton; one sister, Bonnie L. Miller of Dayton, whom was like a daughter to Mrs. Howland; two brothers, Roger and Russell O’Diam both of Peebles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Howland on Jan. 31, 1996; two brothers, Raymond and John O’Diam; and both parents.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
