Mary Grace Murphy, 81, of Seaman, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Adams County on June 5, 1930, the daughter of the late John and Eva Grace (Yankie) Storer.
Mary Grace attended Seaman Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Robert Murphy of Seaman; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Harold Emery of Seaman; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Kathryn Storer of Peebles and Ronald and Linda Storer of Waverly; one brother-in-law, Donald Vanzant of Hillsboro; one sister-in-law, Ruth Storer of Peebles; one grandson, Kyle and Sarah Emery of Hilliard; one granddaughter, Angela and Matt Jamison of Peebles; three great granddaughters, Faith Jamison, Emmalyn Jamison and Amelia Emery; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell Storer; and one sister, Mildred Vanzant.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Chris Gobin officiating. Burial will follow in Tranquility Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
