Mary E. Haney, 78, of Hillsboro, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at her residence.
She was born April 2, 1933 in Kingsport, Tenn., the daughter of the late John and Lucy (Bailey) Long.
She had attended the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Victoria (David Hughes) Tener of Hillsboro, Sandy (Steve) Cancino of Dayton and Dan (Jeri) Taylor of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Tiffany (Kevin) Salyer of Seaman, Tyler (Julie Chaney) Long and children of East Monroe, Heather Bowles, Nicole (Gary Cornett) Esken and Adam (Candace) Middleton and children, all of West Carrollton, Audra Taylor of Pennsylvania and Christian Taylor of Michigan; 10 great-grandchildren, Cameron Haynie, Kyleigh McPherson, Brayden Salyer, Skyler Long, Arraya Ward, Brittany Bowles, Courtney Bowles, Maxwell Crooks, and Alyssa and Dakota Cornett; two brothers, Jim (Aleta) Long and Monroe Long, both of Kingsport, Tenn.; three sisters-in-law, Faye Long, Jackie Long and Lula Long, all of Kingsport as well as several nieces and nephews and special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Winford C. Haney, in 1985; three brothers, D.B., Wayland and Fred Long; and a sister-in-law, Reba Long.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
The Rev. Wiley Perkins will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from noon-2 p.m. on Wednesday.
