Marvin Lee Gard, 55, of Hillsboro died Friday, April 20, 2012 at his home.

He was born Oct. 25, 1956 in Winchester, the son of the late Blair and Christine Kendall Gard.

Mr. Gard was an electrician technician for the Coca Cola Enterprise for 22 years. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, a member of the Hillsboro High School Class of 1974 and a graduate of Southern State Community College.

He is survived by three daughters, Jessica (Justin) Hull of Nicholson, Georgia, Lauren and Vanessa Gard of Hillsboro; one sister, Marsha (Mike) Smith of Hillsboro; one brother, Dale (Peggy) Gard of Hillsboro; two nieces, Karie Smith and Megan Abbott; one nephew, Travis Gard; five great-nieces and nephews and his former wife, Ann Gard.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 27 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. John Porter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call on Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
